Emily is an AMGA certified Single Pitch Instructor who grew up in middle Tennessee. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, is a certified Wilderness First Responder, and hopes to continue her path in wilderness medicine and search and rescue work. When she is not rock guiding, she enjoys single and multi pitch climbing, hiking, running, teaching and practicing yoga! She enjoys incorporating her passion for yoga into her climbing practice with a focus on mindful movement and flow.
One of her favorite things about rock guiding is the opportunity to help people feel more connected to nature and to themselves through outdoor education, and helping others build their skills regardless of their level of experience. She aims to help other women feel comfortable climbing and making the outdoors an inclusive environment for people of all genders and orientations.
